ODELL is pleased to announce that our design for Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center League City took home 1st place at this year’s Interior Design Excellence Awards in the category of Healthcare over 15,000 square feet.
This innovative facility provides one-stop, highly coordinated access to an extensive array of Memorial Hermann services in a single location. The 50,000 square feet medical office building includes an emergency department, outpatient imaging/breast imaging, sports medicine, timeshare clinic, medical group clinic and occupational therapy clinic.
Located near the Gulf Coast, the design draws inspiration from the geographic region. The coastal inspired design is executed through material selections, lighting and color. Sandy grey walls, accents of blue tones, white washed wood-look vinyl tile flooring, etched glass and white quartz create a subtle and calming environment. The judges commented that design elements such as soft lighting, illuminated graphic ceilings, and a muted color palette fulfilled the client’s goal of helping patients feel at ease when in a vulnerable state.
The project was completed in collaboration with our local partner, House+Partners.
