Congratulations to Gaurav Gupte, who was recently appointed by the City of Charlotte to the city’s Public Art Commission! The Public Art Commission is a 9-person community board, whose role is to oversee the selection of artwork for the Public Art Program. The Public Art Commission is committed to expanding the opportunities for its citizens to experience public art, thereby creating a more pleasing and humane environment that will improve the quality of life.
Gau is Principal of ODELL’s Work Studio and is responsible for business development and innovative design in corporate/commercial architecture. Gau’s talent as a designer and architect can be seen all along the East Coast from financial institutions to convention centers to event arenas. He has previous city leadership roles as a Board Member of Bechtler Museum, Director of Young Architects for AIA Charlotte, and a member of CBI’s Leaders Under 40.
