Richmond Hope Therapy Center is the first clinic in Virginia to offer highly effective intensive therapy for children, inspired by Eastern European methods.

Since patients receive 3-4 hours of therapy a day, 5 days a week, for 3 consecutive weeks in Richmond Hope Therapy’s individualized programs, a requirement of the new space was to have a larger waiting area to accommodate families. Upon entry, the colorful reception area is upbeat, inviting and includes plenty of seating, a play area for siblings, as well as a desk for parents who may need to work or use a computer while their child attends therapy.

The project also includes an expanded open gym area and additional treatment rooms where state of the art equipment is being used to bring children increased independence and maximum strength. The larger therapist work area enclosed in glass allows light to penetrate the space as well as provides visibility for therapists.

Throughout the space warm wood tones and energizing colors combine with whimsical elements, such as the ocean inspired artwork of the privacy curtain. The design team’s vision was to design a fun environment that inspires kids to be kids and aids the innovative therapists in helping children reach their full potential.
