Project Description

Power Plant @ Lucky Strike

Richmond, Virginia
Built in 1930, The American Tobacco Company Lucky Strike Power Plant is located in Richmond’s Tobacco Row Historic District. The design of the interior architecture was based on a Re-Use + Re-Think + Re-Define philosophy.

Re-Use: The existing building structure and its materials were re-used where possible to retain the historic presence of this 1930’s building.
Re-Think: The new construction footprint was minimized with concise and pronounced gestures.
Re-Define: The definition of the traditional office space was re-defined in order to create an energetic and collaborative environment.
