SECU Comprehensive Cancer Center at CarolinaEast Medical Center

The new CarolinaEast Cancer Center establishes a new level of care and accessibility in coastal Carolina. This project is part of a partnership between UNC Chapel Hill Lineberger Cancer Center and CarolinaEast. The new campus development includes 83,600 square feet of new construction and 10,400 square feet of renovation of to the existing cancer center. In addition to the Cancer Center component a new Diagnostic Center of 29,400 square feet was part of the project. The expansion includes improved Radiation Oncology including vault area as well as an 11 exam room clinic suite and support. Additionally, the new three-story cancer addition includes 30 infusion bays, 15 medical oncology exam rooms, chemo compounding pharmacy, lab, café, boutique and conference rooms with teaching kitchen. The third floor provides a new home for AHEC offices and conference center.
