KAUST Administration Building

The King Abdullah University for Science and Technology Research Park Administration Building is located at the apex between the campus and the research park and acts as its iconic centerpiece. The design intent is to provide a grand welcome plaza that pulls the visitor into a souk-like space in between two volumes: the public and visitor functions on one side, and the main office building on the other. This concept of utilizing the souk as a prototype for shaded and public spaces is present in both the university campus and throughout the Research Park.
