Project Description

Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute

Charlotte, North Carolina
Levine Cancer Institute was conceived as an outpatient facility offering state-of-the-art cancer care to patients from across North and South Carolina.

The project was planned in two phases. The initial phase encompassed the relocation and expansion of the Radiation Oncology department out of Carolinas Medical Center. The first phase was a one story 25,000 SF building.  The second phase included a five-level expansion constructed above the existing Radiation Oncology department.

The Institute functions as a series of integrated cancer programs, distributing high-quality cancer care system-wide. This building will also serve as the research and administrative headquarters.  Levine Cancer Institute will provide a unified treatment resource for patients to receive the continuum of cancer care.
