The American Indian named 'Connecticut' by its sculptur, Paul DiPasquale, will move from the Richmond Diamond to the Power Plant @ Lucky Strike, a decision that came from the Richmond Metropolitan Authority. This 2,400-pound sculpture will sit atop the Power Plant and face out over the James River, recognizing the Native American role in the creation of Richmond. Odell was one of six proposals submitted and one of three interviewed for the world-famous sculpture. Jim Snyder, CEO and Chairman of Odell said he was "both excited and humbled" to be awarded Connecticut, and that it was " largely due to the history of the site".
