President and Director of Design
Roger Soto is recognized worldwide for his design expertise in complex corporate, higher education, hospitality and healthcare planning and design for leading institutions throughout the United States and abroad, including Baylor College of Medicine and Clinics, Houston, Texas; Dell Pediatric Research Building, Austin, Texas; Methodist Sugarland and Willowbrook Hospitals, Houston, Texas; King Abdullah University for Science and Technology, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; CMA Tower, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Sysco Food Corporate Headquarters Campus, Houston, Texas; USAA Corporate Campus, Phoenix, Arizona and Nueva Las Condes Office Building, Santiago, Chile. Soto is highly regarded for his expansive knowledge of LEED and sustainability design, his incisive approach to design and his success in guiding institutions to achieve their strategic goals through optimal facility planning and design.
Soto graduated from Rice University with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in architecture at Rice University in 1980. He comes to Odell from the Houston office of HOK where he has served as Design Director and Principal since 1990. Soto is an accomplished lecturer and has participated in numerous design competitions.
