Following the completion of Odell's master plan for the North Campus, CPCC selected Odell for the next phase of implementation. Phase III houses the Transport Systems Technology (TST) Program, Automotive Technology, Auto Body, and Heavy Equipment and Transfer Administration. CPCC has also received HUD funding to establish a Forensic Institute as an out growth of the Public Safety program, already housed at the North Campus. The new development begins to create a traditional pedestrian-oriented campus organized around a central green. Future phases will strengthen this concept originally established in the Master Plan.
The project includes approximately 100,000 SF of new facilities; approximately 7,000 SF of renovated area in the Claytor Building; a new Forensics Facility of approximately 13,000 SF; and approximately 340 parking spaces and related site work.
