The AMC Cancer Center totals 19,500GSF of space on one level (15,000SF of new construction; 4,500sf of renovated space). Radiation oncology and medical oncology programs share this space with full support areas for both, including one linear accelerator (expandable to two), a simulator, 11 infusion bays, and respective office and treatment areas.
The radiation oncology service is a joint venture between Rockingham Hospital, the University of Virginia, and Augusta Medical Center. Medical oncology is an expansion of the hospital's services and is owned solely by Augusta Medical Center.
As the first floor of a three-story project, the AMC Cancer Center is positioned between the hospital and Medical Office Building. Direct access to the upper two floors and the rest of the hospital, is immediately adjacent.
